📅 Detailed Itinerary
1
Arrive in Tbilisi and be welcomed by your local representative, who will transfer
you to your hotel. Georgia's ancient and vibrant capital spreads across both banks
of the Mtkvari River, surrounded on three sides by mountains — the name "Tbilisi"
derives from the Old Georgian word meaning "warm," with human settlement in the area
dating back to the 4th millennium BC. Check in to your hotel and spend the rest of
the day at leisure.
2
Breakfast at the hotel. At around 10:00 am, drive to Mtskheta — the ancient capital
of Georgia and one of its most important spiritual and cultural centres. Visit Jvari
Monastery and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, then head to Trinity Cathedral, one of the
largest in the world. Afterwards, explore Old Tbilisi on foot: the walking tour
begins at Europe Square and takes in Metekhi Church, a cable car ride up to Narikala
Fortress, the iconic "Mother of Kartli" statue, a stroll down through Abano
District, and a walk to the scenic Legvtakhevi Waterfall. Continue along Rustaveli
Avenue — the city's main boulevard — and finish with shopping at the Flea Market and
Gallery Mall.
3
Breakfast at the hotel. At around 10:00 am, drive to the Kakheti Region — Georgia's
celebrated "Cradle of Wine," famous worldwide for its winemaking heritage and unique
grape varieties. En route, stop in the village of Badiauri to taste freshly baked
local bread and cheese. Continue to Sighnaghi, the charming "City of Love," perched
on a hilltop with sweeping views of the valleys and the Greater Caucasus Mountains.
Visit the Bodbe Nunnery before returning towards Tbilisi. Upon request, guests may
stop at the KTW Winery for a wine tasting. On the way back, visit the historic
Ujarma Castle.
4
Breakfast at the hotel. Early start at 09:00 am for the Mtskheta-Tianeti Region
tour. Visit the Ananuri Fortress Complex and Jinvali Dam along the scenic Georgian
Military Highway. Continue to Gudauri and stop at the viewpoint monument for a
stunning photo opportunity. If weather conditions permit, drive on to Kazbegi,
switch to a 4x4 vehicle, and ascend to the legendary Gergeti Trinity Church set
against a dramatic mountain backdrop. If weather does not permit travel to Kazbegi,
enjoy free time in Gudauri for snow activities before returning to Tbilisi.
5
Breakfast at the hotel. After checking out, your representative will transfer you to
the airport for your onward flight — heading home with wonderful memories of
Georgia's mountains, monasteries, and warm hospitality.
