Welcome to Hanoi! Transfer from Noi Bai Airport to the city centre with time to
relax. In the afternoon, visit Ba Dinh Square — the largest square in Hanoi and the
setting for the city's greatest cultural and political events — and photograph the
Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum from the outside. Continue to the Temple of Literature,
Vietnam's first university built in 1070. Round off the day with a leisurely walk
around scenic Hoan Kiem Lake and a stroll through the historic Old Quarter, famously
known as "The 36 Streets." Overnight in Hanoi.
2
Breakfast at hotel, then check out. At around 8:00 am, transfer to Ha Long Bay — a
UNESCO Natural World Heritage site recognised in 1994 and 2006. Board your overnight
cruise and set sail among thousands of dramatic limestone karsts and grottos. After
lunch on board, explore the Grottos, swim or kayak, and pass by floating fishing
villages. Enjoy a cooking demonstration before dinner. Spend the evening attending
onboard activities or simply relaxing on the deck. Overnight on the cruise.
3
Wake early to watch the sunrise over the islets — a truly miraculous sight over the
"Eastern Sea." After breakfast, cruise through marvelous areas where islets bear
evocative names: Sail Island, Fisherman's Head Rock, Butterfly Rock, Turtle Islet.
Check out your cabin and enjoy brunch on board as the cruise returns to the pier.
Return to Hanoi by shuttle bus, then transfer to Noi Bai Airport (private driver, no
guide) for your flight to Da Nang (air tickets excluded). Upon arrival, a local tour
guide will meet you and transfer you to the hotel. Overnight in Da Nang.
4
Free morning at leisure. In the afternoon, head to Cam Thanh Coconut Village — learn
traditional fishing techniques and row unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boats through
tranquil coconut palm waterways. At around 2:30 pm, visit the UNESCO-listed Hoi An
Old Town. Explore the Phuc Kien Chinese Assembly Hall with its vivid gates and
dragon statues; shop at the Central Market; visit family altars and beautifully
preserved 200-year-old merchants' houses like Phung Hung and Tan Ky. Tour the Museum
of Folk Culture and enjoy art shows at the Traditional Performing Arts House. Cross
the iconic 400-year-old Japanese Bridge and wander hidden laneways. Conclude the
evening with a boat ride on the Hoai River, release flower lanterns for good luck,
and soak in the magical glow of Lantern Street. Return to Da Nang.
5
After breakfast, depart at 07:00–08:00 for Ba Na Hills — a French-inspired hilltop
resort. Take the iconic cable car (holder of 5 world records) to the summit. Walk
the legendary Golden Bridge cradled by giant stone hands, visit Linh Ung Pagoda with
its 27-metre Buddha statue, and stroll through Loc Uyen Garden and Quan Am Pavilion.
Enjoy the fun rides and attractions at Fantasy Park, and have a buffet lunch at the
hilltop restaurant. In the afternoon, ascend to the Peak of Chua Mountain (1,487m)
to visit Ba Chua Thuong Ngan Temple and take in sweeping panoramic views of Da Nang
City and the bay. Return to the hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening at the beach.
Overnight in Da Nang.
6
After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for a short flight to Ho Chi
Minh City (air tickets excluded). Check in to your hotel and begin a city tour in
the afternoon. Visit the War Remnants Museum — one of Saigon's most powerful
historical attractions — with exhibits of weapons, photographs, and documents from
the Vietnam War. Continue to the Reunification Palace, the Notre Dame Cathedral
(exterior view), and the colonial Central Post Office. End the afternoon with
browsing and shopping at the iconic Ben Thanh Market. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
7
Breakfast at the hotel. Pick-up from District 1 at 07:30–08:00 am for a morning
drive to the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels — over 200 km of underground passages that
served as fully functioning wartime cities, complete with kitchens, hospitals,
weapons factories, and command centres. Watch a short film about their construction,
then crawl through a section of the tunnels to feel the remarkable narrowness
firsthand. Optional: experience firing an M15, AK-47, or carbine at the National
Defense Sports Shooting Range (extra cost). Return to the city for a free afternoon
of rest or shopping. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
8
Enjoy a final breakfast at the hotel. Spend your last free hours at leisure before
check-out, then transfer to the airport with a driver (no guide) for your departure
flight home — bags full of memories, lantern photographs, and the lingering warmth
of Vietnam.
